You might have heard about tax and superannuation from your teachers, parents and even the news, but did you ever think that you could explain it better? Perhaps through a story, an app, a video or a picture?
If you're a student in year 7-10 and you've got an idea of how you can explain the value of tax and super in the community to your friends, the ATO would love you to submit your idea to the Tax, Super and You competition. Write, make or film your idea by yourself or with your friends and don't worry, you don't need to be a tax expert to enter! As a starting point, think about how tax funds many of the services and resources that you see if your everyday life, like schools, police and hospitals.The competition closes on 3 November 2017, and with more than $4,000 in cash prizes for winners and their schools are up for grabs, now's the time to get creative and submit your entry to the Tax, Super and You competition!
If you're keen to show the ATO what you can do, submitting an idea is quick and easy, just head online to taxsuperandyou.gov.au/competition-entry-form.You can also post your entry just download and complete the postal entry form, copy your entry files to a CD, DVD or USB flash drive and post it to the ATO. Instructions can be found on the competition website.
