1.     Engaging Science Grants (QLD)
The Advance Queensland Engaging Science Grants are part of the Advance Queensland Engaging Queenslanders in Science strategy. The grants are designed to support scientists, researchers, science communicators, journalists, teachers, organisations and community groups to deliver science engagement and communication projects, events and activities that align with this vision. Grants up to $10,000 (excluding GST) are available. Applications close 31 May 2018. https://advance.qld.gov.au/entrepreneurs-startups/engaging-science-grants.aspx

2.     National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) Year 12 Program Scholarship
The NYSF Equity Scholarship is designed to assist participants from low socio-economic and/or other disadvantaged backgrounds to attend the NYSF Year 12 Program. The $1,000 scholarship is not paid directly to the successful applicants, but is awarded as a reduction in the NYSF Year 12 Program Fee ($3,150 for January 2019). Applications for the scholarship will only be considered if the applicant has been selected to attend the NYSF Year 12 Program. 3.     2018 Grandparents Day (NSW)
Local organisations are being encouraged to take advantage of the NSW government's 2018 Grandparents Day event grants, to show local grandparents and seniors how valued they are in our community. A share of $200,000 is available for organisations across NSW to host events that engage seniors of all ages and abilities. The events can be held on or around Grandparents Day, to be celebrated Sunday, 28 October. Local businesses, schools and councils are encouraged to apply. 4.     Teacher Farm Experience Program (TeacherFX) (WA)
West Australian teachers are invited to apply for a new free Teacher Farm Experience Program (TeacherFX) to be held in July 2018. Supported by Rabobank, the program aims to build teacher confidence and incorporate food and fibre production into teaching programs. Applications close Friday 15 June 2018. http://teacherfx.com.au/

5.     Growing Good Gardens Grants
Together with Yates® Gardening, Life Education are encouraging young people to get out into the garden to grow and learn healthy habits. Schools, pre-schools and community groups are invited to apply for one of 15 $1,000 grants to help create a garden space where kids can learn healthy habits and improve their physical and mental well-being. 6.     Local Sporting Champions Grant
The Local Sporting Champions (LSC) program is an Australian Government initiative designed to provide financial assistance for young sportsmen and women aged 12-18. If successful, applicants will receive a $500 grant that can be used towards the cost of travel, accommodation, uniforms or equipment when competing, coaching or officiating at an official national sporting organisation (NSO) endorsed state, national or international sporting championships, or a School Sport Australia state, national or international championships.
