2. Small Schools Week (NSW)
Small Schools Week gives students from small schools the opportunity to share in a premium Outdoor Recreation Program with other small schools in their area. With multiple schools in attendance, students can broaden their social skills and make new friends while taking part in a range of fun activities and challenges that promote resilience, relationships and wellbeing. Schools benefit too with programs that complement the curriculum and the chance to share in travel costs and staffing resources. 4. Junior Landcare Biodiversity Grants (VIC)
The Victorian Government is funding up to $400,000 for Victorian Junior Landcare and Biodiversity Grants. The grants of up to $5,000 each (excl GST) are open to Victorian schools, kindergartens, childcare centres, Scouts, Guides, and youth groups. Applications close 20 July 2018.
6. Reading Australia Fellowship for Teachers of English and Literacy
The Copyright Agency's Reading Australia Fellowship for Teachers of English and Literacy will support an experienced teacher to undertake professional skills development and career-enhancing opportunities. The Fellowship will enable teachers of English and literacy to undertake research in a designated area that will enhance their skills and abilities in the teaching of English to Australian students. One Fellowship will be awarded each year. The amount will be $15,000. Applications close 1 March 2019.
