1.     20 Million Trees Program Grants
The 20 Million Trees Program is aiming to help Australians plant 20 million trees by 2020 to re-establish green corridors and urban forests. Applications are now being sought for Round Three of the program from eligible groups or individuals interested in undertaking a tree planting project as part of the 20 Million Trees Program. Applications are invited for projects seeking funding between $20,000 and $100,000 (GST exclusive). Applications close 15 August 2017. http://www.nrm.gov.au/national/20-million-trees

2.     Story Dogs
Story Dogs is based on the successful American literacy program: Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) which was launched in 1999 in Utah USA, as the first comprehensive literacy program built around the appealing idea of children and young adolescents reading to dogs. The Story Dogs program is available to all primary schools, both state and private, and is FREE to all participating students. Schools are asked to have a fundraising day each year in order to fund the program. For more information see the website http://storydogs.org.au/schools/

3.     2017-18 School NRM Action Grant (SA)
Schools and preschools within the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges region are invited to apply for grants of up to $2000 (GST exclusive) to deliver projects that build school and school community capacity leading to sustainable futures. Applications close midnight 28 July 2017. 4.     Agribusiness Australia Scholarship (WA)
Each year a recipient is selected from a different State or Territory (based on the location of the Association's annual general meeting), with the successful recipient receiving $1000 per year for three consecutive years of study, with continuous enrolment in a university-related degree. This year the scholarship is open to eligible students based in Western Australia. Final year high school students based in Western Australia who are looking to undertake studies in agriculture are encouraged to apply. Applications close 11 August 2017. 5.     Mary MacKillop Foundation Community Grants & Indigenous Tertiary Scholarships

Community Grants
Eligible organisations may apply for grants of up to $10,000 to deliver innovative and practical projects that assist people who have been pushed to the margins of society through poverty and disadvantage. Applications close 11 August 2017 https://www.mackillopfoundation.org.au/apply/

Indigenous Tertiary Scholarships
The Mary MacKillop Foundation's Indigenous Tertiary Scholarship Program was established in 1998. Since then, 75 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholars have graduated with a tertiary degree, many of whom are the first in their family to do so. 6.     MY Education Awards (VIC)
The MY Education awards (Centre for Multicultural Youth) recognize excellence and showcase the outstanding contributions made by students, schools and Out-of-School-Hours Learning Support Programs to the success of the learning of primary and secondary students from migrant and refugee backgrounds in Victoria. Nominations are invited from across Victoria in several categories including Student Awards and School. 7.     Water Safety Fund Community Grants (NSW)
Water Safety Fund Community Grants are being offered to support community efforts to improve water safety in NSW. The Grants will be provided to successful applicants whose projects increase water safety in high risk geographical locations, population groups and activities. A school is eligible to apply if it is a legally constituted not-for-profit organisation (or through a school P&C if the P&C meets the eligibility criteria in the Guidelines).
