CaSPA Data Project provides key information to help us to help you

Above: This table shows the high collection rates of data across the juriisdictions

With the help of so many CaSPA Principals over the past 18 months, we have been able to collect key data to assist us all to better understand the role of a Catholic Secondary Principal in Australia.

With a collection rate of aroud 90% for most categories, we are far better placed than many comparable groups to understand the key stages in a person's career and what happens both prior to someone becoming principal as well as the trends that unfold when a person concludes their time in this key leadership position.

We can for example say with a high degree of confidence that these key indicatiors exist:

  Male Female
Proportion of CaSPA Principals 64% 36%
Current Average Age 54.8 years 56.4 years
Average Age at first Appointment to Principal 45.8 years 48.3 years
Average length of service as Principal 9.6 years 8.2 years

Over coming months we hope to share more of this data with you.

In the meantime, a personal email has gone out to the small number of Principals who have not supplied some of this key data about themselves.

If you are in this category could you please forward the missing data no later than 30 June, 2018 to admin@caspa.edu.au
