CaSPA Data Project - Length of Service as a Principal

Clearly the longest serving CaSPA Principal is Sr Jillian Havey who took over the leadership of St Dominic's Priory, North Adelaide in 1971 - 47 years of continuous service as Principal.

The Data Project continues to provide helpful insights into the work of CaSPA Principals. With almost three quarters of the Data collected, we see some interesting aspects among the leaders of our schools as the table below represents.

Some of the key take outs would include:

  • Four in ten principals have less than 5 years experience
  • At the other end of the spectrum only 2% have greater than 25 years service
  • Victoria has the highest proportion of "experienced" Principals with almost 20% having 15 or more years in the role
