The recent Board Meeting of CaSPA endorsed the appointment of Phil Lewis as the incoming Executive Officer of the Association. Phil has a long and distinguished association with CaSPA having been on the Board as a Director for seven years from 2011-2017 and President from 2014-2017. Phil is currently the Principal of Nazareth College in Adelaide, having previously served as Principal of Gleeson College for a number of years. While originally scheduled to commence on 1 February 2019, Phil has requested a later start to enable him to oversee the introduction of Year 7's to Nazareth at the beginning of 2019. South Australia is the final State in Australia to accomodate Year 7 students at Secondary rather than Primary Schools.

Phil Lewis will take up the position of CEO of CaSPA on 1 May 2019.

The current Executive Officer - Frank FitzGerald - had indicated to the Board that he would not be seeking an extension of contract at the end of 2018 as he wishes to spend a greater amount of time working with his Consultancy company - Principal Assist. The Board has requested Frank to continue in the role until Phil Lewis is able to commence, and Frank has agreed to this request and also will do his utmost to ensure a smooth transition and induction for the new CEO.
