1.     Environment small project grants (NT)
The program provides funding to support communities pursue initiatives that deal with or raise awareness about environmental issues in local areas. Up to $5,000 is available. Schools are eligible to apply. Applications must be submitted by 28 August 2017.

2.     NSW Cookery Teachers Association Scholarship (NSW)
Available through the Public Education Foundation, the NSW Cookery Teachers Association Scholarship assists public school students who have either obtained a high degree of proficiency in the subject of Food Technology or who can demonstrate a keen interest in the subject. The scholarship is offered to students completing Year 12 in 2017 who intend to continue to university to study a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent with a major in Food Technology. In 2018, three scholarships are available.  Each scholarship has a value of $6,000 per year for 3 years. Applications close Monday 26 February 2018. 3.     Anzac Centenary Community Grant Program (VIC)
The Anzac Centenary Community Grant Program offers funding to eligible organisations for projects that commemorate the service and sacrifice of World War One (WWI) veterans and their communities or inform and educate Victorians about the experiences of WWI veterans and their communities. Educational institutions eligible to apply. Round 1 currently open and closes 28 August 2017 

4.     Grant Oceania Grants - Inspiring Tomorrow
Canon Oceania Grants is a new grants program for schools and not-for-profit groups who are addressing both social and environmental issues in their community and inspiring change for future generations. The grants offer four grants of Canon equipment in-kind across Australia. Applications close 4th August 2017. For more information see the website

5.     NSW Mental Health Month Small Grants (NSW)
Mental Health Association NSW (WayAhead) is a registered charity that has actively worked in mental health for over 80 years. These Grants are offered to help support mental health promotion activities or events during Mental Health Month in October. The event or activity should promote positive mental health in the community. Grants are made in five categories including Youth Grants - for projects focusing specifically on the youth population aged 14-24 years (3 x $1,000 and 4 x $5,000 grants available). 6.     Recreational Fishing Grants Program (RFGP) (VIC)
Every year the Victorian Government, through the Recreational Fishing Licence Trust Account, disburses revenue derived from the sale of Recreational Fishing Licences to projects that will improve recreational fishing in Victoria. Schools are eligible to apply for a Small Grant for projects up to $5,000. This is an ongoing fund without a closing date. For more information see the Agriculture Victoria website
